What Makes Our T-Shirts Different?

The Difference In Our Cotton

We wanted our t-shirts to be as perfect as possible, so that meant that they had to be made with as little environmental impact as possible. This had to include the whole manufacturing process, not just how the cotton was grown.

We only use which means that we have the assurance of knowing that each stage of our t-shirt production is monitored throughout its lifecycle. The fiber is grown using sustainable farming methods and is harvested without the use of chemical defoliants. The cotton is hand picked and only chemicals carefully assessed for their environmental merits are used in the processing of the cloth. For example we use Hydrogen Peroxide instead of Chlorine to whiten the cotton as this can be completely neutralized after the bleaching process, and the surplus of peroxide converted into pure water by simple reductive salts. When we dye our cotton we only use non metallic azo free dyes which are both kinder to the environment and to our skins.

We are wearing fibers every day, day after day, month after month, year after year so to us the more pure our cotton is the kinder it has to be to both the environment and our skin. All our labeling and threads are a 100% cotton which adds to the kindness of our t-shirts. The additional benefits to the environment are that our t-shirts dye beautifully if you want to re-cycle for a new colour and are naturally more biodegradable.

The Difference in Our T-Shirts

We are committed to producing high quality, long lasting clothes. This means that they will use fewer environmental resources than an inferior product that has been replaced many times.

We also see our t-shirts as being a bit of a blank canvas for our customers, so rather than chase high fashion season after season we have tried to develop key shapes, and designs, that will take our customers from season to season.

All our t-shirts are made within the EU and have been awarded the Euro Eco-label which endorses products which are kinder to the environment throughout their manufacture.

The Difference in Our Quality

Our is premium extra long staple cotton which gives our t-shirts their beautiful feel and luster.

All our cotton 240gms and is woven to give as little movement as possible. It is a closer weave than normal, which also means that our t-shirts have minimal show through which is an important factor in a good quality t-shirt.

The quality of our cotton and manufacturing also means that with the correct care our t-shirt should retain their shape and comfort wash after wash.

The concept is based on respect for nature and humanity. That is why since 1986, the life cycle has been examined and documented in minute detail.
