How do I know which is the right size for me?
We have chosen to use a numbering method for all of our t-shirts and our size charts use exact garment measurements rather than ‘standard’ body measurements. This is mainly because we found that there are not many ‘standard’ size 12, 14 etc in real life, many of us are a 12 on the top but a 14 around the hips! We also found that you can be a size 10 in one make and a size 14 in another which is very confusing.
So to check which size is best for you please check the size chart for general garment size specifications and each of the product information pages gives sleeve and body length.
If you are between sizes we would suggest that you go to the lower size for our pure cotton t-shirts and to the higher size for our mixed cotton styles. This is simply because our mixed cotton t-shirts contain a small amount of elastane so are more fitted where as our pure cotton t-shirts are semi-fitted and, therefore, more generous on fit.
What is the difference between the pure cotton and the mixed cotton?
Our pure cotton t-shirts are 100% pure long staple green cotton, where as our mixed cotton t-shirts are 93% pure long staple cotton green cotton and 7% elastane.
The difference in the cottons mean that our pure cotton t-shirts are semi-fitted where as our mixed cotton t-shirts fit slightly closer to the body.
Both cottons are beautifully soft and comfortable and both carry the European Ecolabel flower. The label is only awarded to goods and services which meet strict criteria to minimise the impacts of consumer products on the environment.
Does green-cotton need to be treated any differently to normal cotton?
This slightly depends on how you normally wash your clothes. If you wash at high temperatures and then tumble dry everything then yes, but if you just use a normal 40° degree wash and just dry naturally either in or outside then no. Green cotton is not mercerized like more commercial cotton and has no chemical finishes at any stage, but the quality of our cotton and it’s method of weaving compensate for this. In fact our cotton has less shrinkage and distortion than most commercial cottons. Just follow our normal washing instructions and your t-shirt will perform perfectly wash after wash.
What if my t-shirt is not the right size or fit?
We understand that it is often difficult to know how well something is going to fit until you have actually tried it on. For this reason we offer FREE returns and exchanges so if something is not quite right, simply return your t-shirt to us in its original packaging and let us know if you require an exchange or a refund.
